I went to St. Lucia last March. It was nice, but I was a little disappointed with the beach being only a 1/2 mile long or so. I was hoping for a longer beach. Sandals Regency resort was very pretty and we had access to the other resorts. The food was unbelievably good! The Rain forest trip was a major disappointment. We spent an extra $380 USD, and it was hot, dry, no animals and we had climb this huge mountain! I wasn't prepared for that or even thought that was fun. I couldn't wait till it was over. I like the parks in NJ better. (Just to save you some money). I did love the horseback riding on the beach. That was awesome. I took the horse into the sea. One of my greatest experiences ever!!! . … Do watch the peddlers there, they literally come at you to buy things. That happened to me when the jeep stopped on the mountain for a scenic view on the way to the rain forest. I can't speak for the other islands, only St. Lucia.
All in all, it was very exciting! You really can't go wrong. Good luck to you both. :)
